Bombardier was proud to host Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden during their official state visit to Canada. Their Majesties, joined by Swedish Minister of Defense Pål Jonson, and Swedish Minister for Energy, Business and Industry and Deputy Prime Minister, Ebba Busch, visited Bombardier’s Laurent Beaudoin Completion Center in Dorval.

Also in attendance was Canadian Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, Mélanie Joly, as well as Quebec’s Minister of Economy, Innovation and Energy, Christine Fréchette, whose presences highlighted the strong collaboration between Canadian and Swedish industries in advancing defense and security capabilities for both nations.

The royal visit was also a unique opportunity for the Swedish Business Delegation participating in the official state visit to network with Bombardier and Canadian industry leaders, fostering deeper partnerships between the two countries’ industries.

Canada and Sweden continue to strengthen ties through collaborative efforts between their industries to advance economic growth and defense capabilities, while ensuring readiness for future challenges such as Arctic sovereignty and skilled workforce development.

Bombardier proudly plays a role in Sweden’s critical missions and is honored by the confidence placed in its aircraft to support the nation’s security.
