Lastwall authorized for direct Canadian government sales via the Pathway to Commercialization Program

Lastwall, a trailblazer in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), is thrilled to announce a significant milestone. Following the successful completion of the Innovative Solutions Canada (ISC) Testing Stream, Lastwall has achieved qualification to offer its cutting-edge, quantum resilient identity platform directly to the Government of Canada through the Pathway to Commercialization (PTC) program.

The solution’s capabilities were successfully validated by Canada’s Centre for Excellence in Next Generation Networks (CENGN), sponsored by Shared Services Canada, to protect cloud services and IT networks from credential-based and Multi-Factor Authentication attacks, post-breach lateral movement, and ‘Steal Now – Decrypt Later’ threats in a post-quantum environment.

The PTC designation allows government agencies exclusive access to procure the Lastwall innovation solution until 2027.

“We are honoured to participate in the Pathway to Commercialization (PTC) program,” said Karl Holmqvist, CEO and Founder of Lastwall. “Our mission has always been to safeguard the fundamental institutions of Western democracy from the most urgent and pressing cyber threats. With the PTC program, it becomes incredibly convenient for stakeholders within the Canadian Government to access our platform to strengthen national defense and safeguard our digital infrastructure.”

With the recent qualification under the PTC program, Lastwall can substantially assist government agencies in various critical areas:

  1. Zero Trust Architecture Implementation: Uses non-interceptable credentials and cryptographic proof of identity with a fixed audit trail in accordance with NIST 800-207. Protects against ‘phishing login credentials along with session cookies’ type of the man-in-the-middle attacks.
  2. Secure Access to Cloud Services: Enables scalable deployment of advanced Multi Factor Authentication (FIDO2 WebAuthn enabled Passwordless MFA) in conjunction with risk-based contextual analysis to confirm user identity with any Commercial-off-the-Shelf  (COTS) device (PKI-based out-of-band authentication functionality). Compatible with CAC, PIV, and other hardware authentication devices (i.e. Yubikey).
  3. Post-Quantum Cryptography: Supports post-quantum key exchange algorithm to protect data against a ‘Steal-Now-Decrypt-Later’ attack in a post-quantum environment.

Canadian Government stakeholders can access the Lastwall solution on the PTC website or reach out directly to Shawn Moorhead, Vice President of Business, for further inquiries.
