Current DND Projects:

• Contract valued at CAD $3B for four newly built Airbus A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport aircraft and for the conversion of five used A330-200s to replace existing CC-150 Polaris (A310 MRTT). • Contract for FWSAR awarded in December 2016. Airbus is working to reach an Initial Operational Capability with five serviceable aircraft with crews and maintenance by 2025/2026. • STTC Long Term In-Service Support – Airbus Defence and Space will compete. • In space technologies. Airbus delivered the Sapphire Satellite Bus platform and key sub systems for the RCM Satellites and RADARSAT-2. Airbus also completed various mission definition studies in collaboration with Canadian industry partners for the Canadian Space Agency and the Department of National Defence.
