CCX Technologies is proud to introduce a next-generation Wideband Software Defined Radio (SDR), designed to meet critical Defence and Security requirements — the EC-100. What sets the EC-100 apart is its industry-leading 800 MHz bandwidth, operating range of up to 9 GHz, and a very high Signal-to-Noise ratio (SNR). Built on a cutting-edge architecture, the EC-100 delivers performance and range for an array of mission-critical applications including communications, signal intelligence, spectrum monitoring, and electronic warfare.
Unlike traditional radios that rely on fixed hardware, Software Defined Radios are configurable for a number of signal processing applications. The EC-100 offers an 800 MHz bandwidth — allowing users to scan a large frequency spectrum at once, detect multiple signals simultaneously, and decode several carriers in parallel from a single device. Additionally, the EC-100 boasts an ADC resolution of 16 bits, a very high Signal-to-Noise ratio (SNR), and a very low noise floor. This makes it possible to detect and receive weak signals from very distant sources, even in the presence of interference.
Designed for operations requiring rapid response and high precision, the EC-100 is ideal for signal detection, signal intelligence, and even radio astronomy workloads. With an operating frequency range of up to 9 GHz, this device is an optimal solution for detecting and demodulating signals from UAVs, mobile radios, and a variety of RF-emitting devices at long distances.
Housed in a compact, modular M.2 2280 M-Key form factor, the EC-100 seamlessly integrates into most laptops, desktops, CCX edge routers — such as the AP-250 — and a range of embedded systems and custom carrier cards.
“The launch of this new product reflects our commitment to continuous innovation and excellence in Canadian technology,” said Chris Bartlett, President and Co-Founder of CCX Technologies. “It seamlessly complements our existing solutions, while expanding our capabilities to better serve the evolving needs of our partners and strengthen Canada’s Domestic Industrial Base.”
CCX Technologies’ comprehensive portfolio of defence-grade secure networking and detection solutions includes airworthy routers, secure application servers, data collection and processing systems, access points, and encrypted gateways. CCX also offers robust Managed Services, including configuration and ruleset support, alongside an in-house Security Operations Center (SOC).
The EC-100 will be on display at CANSEC 2025, Canada’s premier defence and security event, taking place May 28–29 in Ottawa, Ontario. Visit Booth #2013 to experience the EC-100 first-hand and explore CCX Technologies’ full suite of innovative solutions.
