HMCS Edmonton and Yellowknife returned to Halifax from Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group 1 (SNMCMG 1) in Eastern European waters. From July to October 2025, the ships, alongside their teams of clearance divers and autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) operators, and a ten-person Mine Countermeasure team from the Royal Danish Navy embarked aboard HMCS Edmonton, served as part of the Operation REASSURANCE Maritime Task Force.
