Current DND Projects:
Rolls- Royce has been a long-term dedicated partner of the Department of National Defence with propulsion systems powering several aircraft fleets, including the AE2100 powered C130J fleet, the T-56 powered CC130 Hercules and CP140 Aurora fleets and the Adour powered Hawk fleet for the NATO flight Training in Canada program. Rolls-Royce also powers the Airbus A330 MRTT aircraft which is currently being procured by DND for the Strategic Tanker & Transport Capability program. Additionally, Rolls-Royce will be providing major power and propulsion systems (MT-30 gas turbines), generators (Series 4000 diesel generators from RR owned MTU businesses), Mission Bay Handling Systems (RR Peterborough), and other critical ship handling and related equipment for the Canadian Surface Combatant program.
